Hey everyone, I'm back. Sorry I haven't posted in a while (This was my first few weeks of college and I was getting used to things.) Well I had Veronica contact me about a few questions about macs and switching. She was wondering about the operating system. Tiger is the latest operating system - the lateest update is 10.4.7. I love this much more than winodws. I myself find it much more easy to use and the features are more powerful. My favorite feature is "Spotlight." All you do is click the little icon in the upper right corner, and then you just type in the first few letters of ANYTHING you are looking for and it pops right up. If you want more features, just go to www.apple.com/tiger
Well I think that the one of the biggest announcements in the keynote video was the announcement of the next major release of Mac OS X - Leopard. I have listed the top 10 that they listed at the keynote. However, there are more that are "top secret" and as they said they didn't want the other people to start their photo copiers too soon! You can watch the full keynote here.
Be sure to check out the official Leopard webpge!
- Support for 64bit applications
- Time Machine
- Complete Package
- Boot Camp
- Front Row
- Photo booth
- Spaces
- Spotlight
- Core animation
- Universal Access
- Mail Enhancements
- Dashboard
- iChat Enhancements
I think a lot of these features are going to very cool! Time machine, spaces, and dashboard are my favorite. With time machine, you can instantly roll back any file from any time and date - without creating manual restore points! It can do it for any file, even your address book. It was really amazing, you have to check out the video! With spaces it's like working with multiple monitors all on one. If four different desktops. All you do is click on the application that is in the other desktop and that desktop will pop up. You can also get a birds eye view of all the desktops and then drag and drop the window into another desktop. Finally, with dashboard anyone can create their own widget in seconds. All you have to do is "crop" a web page. That web page will show up live on your dashboard window. It will be updated constantly.
I think mostly everything leopard has to offer was pretty amazing. I will link you to my favorite three so you can check them out! You can also watch the entire keynote address yourself here. Check everything out, it's all great! :)

Was anyone at the keynote this year? If so, consider yourself lucky! I've been anxiously awaiting to watch it from apple.com, but those servers have just been packed to capacity. I will do a round up of the keynote on my blog - hopefully soon. I saw 30min of it so far, then the video just stopped ... no matter what I did. If you went, what did you think? From the first half hour I saw, it looks like there goal is to beat Microsoft vista and dell in the market.
2 Days till I get my MacBook!!!
